We had a lovely stay at this beautiful villa. Chrissie and Andrew were very responsive from the start, helping us to have a more enjoyable stay. We spent most days lazing by the pool and enjoying the amazing views over the Carrara mountains. I would recommend this to any groups of friends/families! Thanks so much for sharing your beautiful house with us!

what a lovely place! We stayed here for 12 days with our 2 adult daughters. Casa Lara is a lovely home fully equipped. Unfortunately the weather did not cooperate so we could not fully enjoy the pool and lovely outdoors but the views were stupendous. Yvette was so nice and responded to all of our questions quickly. The restaurant next door is charming and was nice to be able to walk to dinner when we didn't want to go to town. The nearby towns were great to visit and Lucca (an hour drive away) is our new favorite Italian town. The hiking was great and our daughters loved running the hills (no we just walked them). Overall a lovely visit. Thank you Yvette for sharing your home with us.

Peace, tranquility & stunning views in Garfagnana

Our family have been regular visitors to Garfagnana for many years and this was our fourth stay at Cottage Vallecchia (Laura). The house itself is comprised of two fully self-contained cottages, one on the ground floor, one above so is ideally suited to two families/groups holidaying together. The inside living space, kitchen and bedrooms are all comfortable, spacious and well equipped although for us, the real highlight is the wonderful terrace and loggia from where the views are simply stunning. On several occasions, our hosts arranged for Italian banquet or pizza nights provided by local chefs at very reasonable prices and prepared in the outdoor pizza oven. Again, these were a real highlight of our stay and a wonderful way to spend an evening being catered for in relaxed surroundings. The pool is situated to slightly higher ground, surrounded by grape vines and also enjoys spectacular views across the valley below and up towards nearby Treppignana. The area itself is generally very picturesque and has many nearby towns and villages to explore all with excellent good value local cuisine.
