We couldn't have asked for more, it really is a beautiful home, so tastefully renovated by Peter in a great location with lots to explore. The views are stunning both from the house & the gorgeous infinity pool. You could easily spend your entire holiday relaxing at the Villa, blissfully quiet (slept so well!!) . We thoroughly enjoyed visiting Siena and Lake Trasimeno followed by Florence & were pleased we followed Peter's advice & went by train straight into central Florence. Peter is extremely welcoming & has a great sense of humour. A charming, unassuming guy. As previous reviews have said, you really wouldn't know he is there but he is very helpful should you need advice. There are very few places we have or would return to but this is certainly one of them & we have already recommended it to friends. Thank you so much again Peter.

My husband and I stayed for a week in August 2014. I don't normally do reviews but was surprised at the September "disappointing" review. We love Umbria and this area and have been to Castle Gaiche 9 times. We have tried 4 other properties at the castle and none match this one. We have retured to Il Molino 4 times. Each time we have found it clean, comfortable and fully equipped. The amenities of dishwasher, washing machine, open fire and oven are not found in the other properties we tried & is so much more equipped than the others. This area is rustic & authentic & Il Molino follows this with classic & comfortable style. Little additional touches like books & music, TV/DVD to entertain the kids whilst you're enjoying the incredible grounds & views, plus information on local activities & places of interest really make you feel welcome & at home in your own little piece of Italy. We've also noticed no bath mats (at all the properties and hotels in the area- maybe it's a Perugian thing?!) but the property manager is very approachable & would address any individual requests if you ask. For four adults or a family this accommodation represents really good value for money. We can't wait to return and will definitely book for next year-with or without a Bathmat!!

Overall: Staying at Villa Belvedere was everything we expected and more! The house was wonderful, and I think the pictures on the web site do not even do it justice. Our check in and out process was wonderful--the woman who came to the house to assist with the process was full of information about the area, and extremely helpful with directions, suggestions, and overall advice. The beds were really comfortable, and the AC units kept us happy. We used the pool every day we were there. Enjoyed Most: Hard to specify. The pool was a huge highlight, with plenty of shaded areas under the umbrellas and the cabana. The rooms were all spacious and clean. Enjoyed Least: The kitchen was small (but we had a cook, so we did not have to use it too much!). Surrounding Area: We had a wonderful time visiting a local vineyard and olive grove (Castello Monte Vibiano Vecchio) visiting a castle in the area, enjoying the views of the sunflowers. Nearby Events or Locales: Agello was within walking distance, however they did not have many supplies. We loved the view of Agello from the house (we have lots of pictures). Tips or Restaurants: The pizzerias at the lake were good. Directions: We did use a GPS, but we found the house without it. Check In Out: The young woman who checked us in and out was great. She spoke English very clearly, and had a great knowledge of the local area. She continued to supply information via email while we where there, on where to find a grocery store, where to tour a winery, and actually took some of our group to a local olive grove. She was very good at communicating with us.
