  • Perfect location in a relatively quiet part of the Amalfi coast

We loved the balconies where we could eat out, watching the boats going to and fro and enjoying the fabulous views. Sleeping arrangements for 2 couples are a little awkward as one bed is in the 'shared' living area, en route to the kitchen. In good weather this isn't too problematic as access is possible via one of the balconies. It was great to have a kettle for making tea, thank you Maria Teresa! Oddly however there was no coffee machine. The coastal road doesn't make for relaxed driving and parking in the villages isn't easy, but we really enjoyed taking the boats from Cetara to Minori, Maiori and Salerno, and using the local buses. Pompeii and Herculaneum were easily reached by car. Salerno is well worth a visit, with its shady promenade and harbour. We had a great fish lunch at the fishermens cooperative. The duomo is spectacular too.

As soon as we booked this apartment we received an e.mail with a very warm welcome from the owners. This was continued throughout the lead up to our holiday and during our holiday. Pasquale was attentive and was keen to assist us to ensure our stay was a good one. As we arrived late in Naples, he very kindly offered to pick us up from the airport which was a huge help to us. The apartment was superb and spotlessly clean this was due to the hardwork and daily cleaning by Giuse. Breakfast was plentiful and the handmade cakes Giuse presented were absolutely delicious. The location of the apartment was also excellent, less than a minutes walk from a beautiful seafront. Set in the old town of Salerno with lovely restaurants, our favourite was L’unico which was also recommended by Pasquale. A short walk took us to the modern town which is well worth a visit for shopping. I would definitely recommend this apartment for all the reasons listed above. A great place to stay with easy access to Capri, Amalfi, Pompeii and Sorrento. Thank you Pasquale and Giuse for being such wonderful hosts.
