Make a holiday rental home or villa in the Belluno area, Italy your home away from home

The Belluno province of Italy lies in the Venito region, a little north of Venice, and is a mainly mountainous province, where the snow capped peaks of the southern Alps dominate the skyline. Wonderfully natural and amazingly picturesque, a holiday rental property in Belluno is a great place to escape to for a little while, far from the hustle of everyday life and with a real emphasis on fine food and good living.

Things to do in Belluno, Italy

Belluno is a tale of two seasons. During the summer months, Belluno accommodation is filled with visitors looking to explore the Parco Nazionale Dolomiti Bellunesi and the rest of the Dolomites. There are infinite walking routes to tackle, and for serious walking holidays, a private Belluno holiday rental is the only way to get the freedom, flexibility, space and comfort you will undoubtedly need after a testing day in the mountains. Cycling holidays also thrive in the Dolomites and Belluno, but the cycling and mountain biking is not for the feint-hearted!

The reliable winds that blow through the mountains are perfect for launching hang gliders and paragliders, as well as for windsurfing on Lake Santa Croce, which has to be one of the highest windsurfing locations in Europe. Summer is also a great time for golf in Belluno. There is a stunning 18 hole golf course on the Cansiglio Plateau, as well as many others in the lower regions of Belluno Province.

The winter months see Belluno turned into snow sports wonderland. The ski resorts of Cortina d’Ampezzo, Misurini and Civetta offer some fearsome downhill skiing, as well as a huge range of water sports facilities from ski jumps to bob-sleigh runs.

Amazing stay in the Dolomites

5 of 5
My wife and I spent 2 weeks here and absolutely loved it. We loved having our morning coffee sitting on the balcony enjoying the amazing view of Cortina below and the mountains all around. There is so much to do in this part of the Dolomites; we were hiking at Tre Cime, Lake Misurina, Tofana, Faloria, Lagazuoi and its WW1 tunnels, Lake Sorapiss, Cinque Torri, and relaxing by lake Ghedina. We also hired bicycles from Snow Service opposite Cortina bus station on 2 days and followed the great cycle path North to Dobbiaco the 1st day and then South to Vodo di Cadore on the 2nd day. The apartment has everything you could need for a self-catering stay and is only a 5 minute walk to the local bus stop which takes you into Cortina (or a 20-30 minute downhill walk into Cortina if you prefer). Raffaele made the whole booking process stress-free and promptly responded to any queries we had. Thank you Raffaele, We will definitely be back!
