Located on the south west coast of the country this pretty town has many fun things for visitors to enjoy. Holidaymakers to this coastal town can enjoy the delightful sandy beach, where they can relax and soak up the sun. Various watersports can be tried here such as surfing, wind surfing, snorkelling and fishing. With a glorious mountain backdrop this is a very scenic area with great places to walk or cycle along. The nearest golf facilities are just 10 kilometres away at Cetraro, where there is a nine-hole course. Visitors will also find some public tennis courts nearby, whilst just over 100 kilometres away are the ski resorts of the Sila National Park. Visitors to the area will find some delightful restaurants, bars and cafes serving delicious Italian cuisine including a seafood restaurant on the beach front itself. There are shops nearby for self catering holidaymakers to purchase provisions from as well as souvenirs.

Places to visit on holiday to Diamante, Italy

Diamante is a charming place to stay and is located close to many interesting places in the region of Calabria. The town itself is famous for its 20th century murals, narrow streets, churches and pretty seafront. Nearby is the scenic medieval town of Belvedere, which is home to a 17th century castle amongst other things. About an hour and 20 minutes drive away is the city of Cosenza. Here holidaymakers will be able to see some fine sights such as the cathedral, Church of San Domenico and the ancient castle. There are several museums in the city including the Open Air Museum. Further south is the city of Lamezia Terme where there are the ruins of an ancient castle, a 16th century watch tower and some fine religious buildings. The Eco-Museum and the Diocesan Museum are also to be found in this city.

Amazing house and the best host

We spend an amazing month in La Querciaia 1946 in August 2017. The house was spotlessly clean and immaculately maintained with everything we could need for our stay. It is absolutely beautiful and tastefully furnished in country style. The pool was great for the kids and the private garden perfect to relax in. We loved the BBQ for evening cooking and there is plenty of space for us all to eat outside. It felt very private in the garden and views of the mountains are breathtaking. Massimiliano is simply the best host we ever met and such a nice person...He has done everything and more to make our stay memorable and special. He arranged for us to try different local produces during our stay and recommended great restaurants. He also organised a great boat trip for a day to see the caves along the beautiful coastline. At the end of our stay we felt that we are leaving a friend. We will miss you and Clay Russell family ( John, Oxana, Ocean, Savanna and Teddy)

Beautiful property

We had a great fortnight here with our 14 and 12 year old. The property is spotlessly clean and an architectural work of art! The bedrooms are very comfortable and the kitchen / living space is very nice. The kitchen is equipped with all the basics you need. Could probably do with a few more bits and pieces (a jug, another serving bowl etc) but the full size fridge and freezer is a real asset. What makes Villa Blue special is the huge roof terrace and outside shower. The views are breath taking and we spent much of our time relaxing and reading up there. The pool is lovely - it's an adequate size and if you get it to yourselves it's a real bonus. A car is essential to explore the region and the private parking at Villa Blue is a great luxury. We explored much of the coastline and whilst the beaches lack golden sand, they make up for it with stunning, turquoise waters that are truly breathtaking. The property would benefit from some local information / leaflets on places to visit, local markets and restaurants as well as details of supermarkets as they varied hugely in their quality. Giuseppe and his family were very gracious hosts and very accommodating. We would definitely recommend this property.
