A beautiful home and a wonderful location

5 of 5
Thank you so much to Margherita and her family for their wonderful hospitality. The apartment is modern, immaculately clean and welcoming. It has absolutely everything you would need, especially the well equipped kitchenette, meaning you can choose to eat out or at home without any bother. And the double glazing means that if you feel like shutting out the noises of the town you can (it is not really noisy but on occasion it was useful to block out some of the hustle and bustle while the kids were drifting off). The location itself couldn't have been better for us, it is close to everything with shops, restaurants, ferry terminal, and a fantastic bakery only a stones throw away. The town is friendly and well equipped for tourists but did not feel over-run by the tourist trade, and in the evenings the balcony afforded a great spot for people watching the very stylish people of Desenzano as they promenaded through the town. We had a wonderful time and will definitely be back to see more of Lake Garda.

Lovely appartment, great location, and fabulous owners

5 of 5
We stayed for 8 nights in August 2017. The appartment is very modern and clean. It is perfect for a small family but bear in mind that the second room is bunk beds although there is also a sofa bed in the lounge. Desenzano is a one mile + walk which we did daily via the lungolago which runs alongside the lake. The beach is very close also, as is a small supermarket. There is also another small town, Rivoltella, which is closer and well worth a visit for local restaurants and bars. Make sure that they are open first as they are mostly closed on Mondays for example. The garden has a lot of shade which is a relief at times and it is very quiet also. There is a fantastic outdoor pool very close by which is also worth a visit but take swimming hats with you! Garda is fabulous and we recommend a boat trip of the south of the lake or "basso". There is also a park close to the appartment which has a cafe. Worth a visit as an alternative walk to town. Finally, the owners are amazing people. We actually needed some help when we were there with a minor emergency and they were very helpful and very kind. True Italians who we are very thankful to.
