Amazing villa with stunning views

5 of 5
We stayed at Casa Stellavista during October half term and had a superb time. The weather was beautiful, but with the Mistral kicking in on one day we did ask Jochen, the owner, to turn on the pool heating for the week (extra €80). Well worth it and we couldn't get the kids out. The views from the villa are incredible with wonderful sunsets to gaze at from the pool. It's pretty quiet in this area at this time of year, but a few local restaurants were open and there were 2 mini markets within a short drive and a larger one in Pula a 20min drive away. The biggest benefit of going in late October was having the stunning beaches nearly to ourselves. There are 2 within a 10-15 minutes walk from the villa and plenty more a few minutes drive away. For the energetic, there's a great coastal trail to run along at the bottom of the hill (be warned - it's hilly). The villa itself is well equipped, clean and in good condition. The beds were a little soft and the pillows a little hard, but that's more of a personal preference. The monthly wifi allowance had run out by the time we arrived, which wasn't an issue as we could use our UK mobile allowance and gave us a good excuse to tell the kids that they couldn't use our phones for games. If you are a data hungry family this may be more of an issue, but why would you need it when you have a place like this to stay / play. Overall this has to be one of the best places we've ever stayed at. If we could guarantee the weather we'd be back again and again in October.
