A page out of a picture book!

                      5 of 5
If you are looking for peace, relaxation and charm, this is the sweetest place that you could ever hope to stay! The pictures are true to life- but actually BEING there will take your breath away. This old farmhouse is a piece of history- and it is built right up against the foothills of the alps. It is surrounded by unbelievable views of the valley and the antique village of Torre and hundreds of olive trees! There is a little garden in the front of the farmhouse with chairs- and there you will enjoy the beauty and the quiet of the Tuscan countryside. My husband fired up the outside oven and we so enjoyed cooking almost every night of our stay. Can I mention here the amazing 300 year old Tuscan stone sink in the kitchen?! We went out every day for a little trip to the surrounding towns and to the cities of Lucca and Florence. But how happy we were to come "home" at the end of the day! You will love the wonderful surroundings of this home- to explore, take walks and just relax! You will also love your host, Mark. What a kind and thoughtful man! He is also quite smart and has a quick wit! You will find him to be an invaluable addition to your stay. He truly will make your time in Lucca special and rewarding. And if you are not from Italy, you will absolutely need his guidance and advice! I could go on and on, trying to find the words to convey how wonderful this property was, but suffice it to say that it is in a perfect location for day trips, it is clean and cozy and the owner is fantastic!

                      A Tuscan delight

                      5 of 5
I loved this place. I've stayed in Tuscany a number of times, this was the first north of Lucca though. Nice area, plenty of country to explore and not too great a trek to the obvious spots. Loved the house, full of genuine character and well appointed. The owner is very keen for you to have a lovely time and goes to great effort to ensure it. Heartily recommended!
