  • An Oasis of calmness

Peaceful garden oasis just 15 minutes drive from the Valley of the Temples. The beach is only just down the road. The photos do not do this place justice. The garden was just beautiful. There was a lounging area, shower, washing line and it was also very private. Igor's charming dad Nillo welcomed us. He was very knowledgeable of the local area and recommended a restaurant a few minutes away called 'Meditteraneo' which was fantastic and gets busy in the evenings. The house was immaculate and well equipped with all the basics you would need in the cupboards and a welcoming breakfast pastries and fruit. There was a covered parking area on the property. We relaxed on the porch in the evenings which was very peaceful. I would love to come back here on my next visit. I thoroughly recommend this place. Thankyou!

  • Lovely Comfortable Villa with a smashing pool

My husband and I spent two weeks at this property. The Villa was comfortable, spotlessly clean and very private. All the usual facilities were there, washing machine, ironing board, microwave etc. The pool was absolutely lovely to the point we spent more time at the poolside rather than find some beaches. The pergola was lovely to sit during evening times and BBQ meals, have a few drinks and chat. Agrigento is a bustling town filled to the brim with spectacular architecture. For those that like archaeology, this place is a must see and there is plenty to see. There are lots of decent eateries in town although we could have done with a restaurant nearby to save driving in an evening but this was not really a hardship. Beaches are plentiful and very pretty and in early June when we visited, are generally deserted mid week. English is not widely spoken we found which is wonderful as I did not want to land somewhere and feel like I was still in the UK, but this was not an obstacle and the locals were very obliging with my use of very bad Italian and signing! As we initially got lost finding the Villa (my own fault in not putting the correct address in the Sat Nav), one very kind gentleman jumped in his car & found it for us. I would recommend hiring a car for a visit here as I suspect getting about by bus or Taxi may not be cost effective and I would definitely recommend good mossie repellent as they are quite busy in the evenings. Overall, I could not fault the property or it's owners. The location is fantastic for the S/SE of Sicily and excellent value for money. Thank you Vincenzo x
