Beautiful, spacious property with breathe taking views!

The villa is absolutely beautiful and has breathe taking views over the mountains. Elisabetta was lovely and came to find us as we got lost finding the villa. Her and her husband were lovely and couldn't help us more. The villa had everything you need set over three floors. The stairs were able to be shut off for the kids which made things a lot easier. The children loved the pool, gardens, hammock and surroundings. We hired a car and would advise it to get around the mountains and to visit different places. The nearest beach we found was an hours drive away and the Ferrari museum in Maranello took us two hours through the mountains. We would definitely stay here again. Thank you!

                            Villa Corrado Castiglione Di Garfagnana

                            5 of 5
The property was excellent. All the bedrooms were of a nice size and the pool was a good size and clean. There were good facilities round the pool including sunbeds for everyone and sunshades. The owner, Corrado, was a really nice guy who came to see us on arrival and spoke to us in good English and gave us some good advice on local events such as a free night of opera in Castiglione and other events such as the medieval festival. He delivered fresh sheets on our middle Saturday and dealt well with any problems we had. He was very friendly and helpful and his friendship made our stay enjoyable. The villa is nicely located for a short walk into town and gives great accessibility for Lucca, Florence and Pisa and the beautiful beach town of Viareggio that is only one hour 20 minutes away. An excellent villa with good facilities and a really nice owner.

                            Perfection in the real Tuscany

                            5 of 5
Our first impressions of the property where its spaciousness, cleanliness and of course the spectacular location. We had spent some considerable time searching for a property that would be nestled in a village so that we could walk to a bar and to restaurants; no easy matter. Casa Massimo was perfect for our requirements. We found it easy to drive to and to park in Lucca, a wonderful city, and also drove to the fine beach at Viareggio. For Florence, we drove to Prato and took the train in from there. As mentioned the locality around Castiglone is fantastic and we made the most of the area. Reviewers highlight the hospitality of Massimo, Remo and others. We totally agree. Massimo really does want visitors to enjoy themselves and in our case was so generous with his prosecco! Be assured he and his family are in no way intrusive and they keep as low or as high a profile as you want. So, we had a wonderful time and expect that others would too.
