                                      Superb accommodation

A very comfortable villa set in lovely surroundings giving way to scenic mountain and valley views. The accommodation was extremely well maintained and very clean in all respects. The pool was delightful which was also very well maintained. I would thoroughly recommend the accommodation which is self contained with all the amenities that could possibly be required. The proprietor was most welcoming speaking both English and Italian and was only too pleased to help. There are several villages with very enticing restaurants. This villa is most definitely worth a visit. Maureen - Essex.

Had an amazing week, spending time with family in a gorgeous setting, we couldn't have asked for more. It's our second year booking with Tuscan Retreats, both properties were perfect for our needs. Lorraine you really know your stuff!

Authentic, well restored villa with plenty of character

                                      4 of 5
We really enjoyed our stay at this beautiful 15th Century Villa in Northern Tuscany. The outdoor pool was well used in the daytime and the open fire was lovely to sit around and chat in the evenings. The Villa was well furnished, with areas to congregate as a large group of 13 (in the dining room and around the pool on loungers) as well as plenty of alternative spaces including 2 balconies and seating areas indoors for smaller groupings and/or a bit of quiet time. The style is rustic and characterful and this building is very old so the sound does 'travel'; it's perfect if you're looking for a lovely authentic villa vacation in beautiful rural surroundings, however it's not the option to go for if five star luxury furnishings and 'mod cons' are your thing. The location is also worth noting - this is a perfect location for people who want to get away from tourist traps and experience the stunning natural beauty of the Tuscan Mountains and small local villages but it is fairly remote so be aware that you will need a car and a confident driver as the road in is very windy, with a few steep drops. It's not suitable for less able travellers as the car park is about 100m below the house and it's a very steep walk. The views are totally worth it though. The owner was very friendly and helpful, I would definitely recommend staying here.
