Excellent flat, location and hosts.

A thoroughly enjoyable stay. The flat is comfortable and spotless , Gabriella and Antonio the most patient and thoughtful of owners. It has a small balcony overlooking a moderately busy but narrow street which can on occasion be slightly noisy. The kitchen is easy to use, although there is no oven or sharp knife - I'm sure Gabriella would provide one if asked. The beautiful old town is a step away with lots of bars, restaurants, etc. There are 2 supermarkets within 10 minutes walk.

Lovely Views

4 of 5
We enjoyed 4 nights at the Property and found everything we needed. I was a bit worried about some of the comments on previous reviews but David had clearly taken the feedback on board and we found fans and mirrors in the rooms :-) the accommodation is fairly basic but fantastic views over the bay. It did get hot even with the fans and in September. Kitchen was well equipped with a stove and microwave. Rooftop terrace was amazing, we had to carry some chairs up and sat up there overlooking the sea. We didn't have a car, managed the walk into town although you are walking along roads without pavement, takes only about 20/30 minutes. Catch a taxi back easily enough for 10euro which we felt was worth it to avoid the hill climb back The only thing we felt was missing was somewhere to sit and dine outside, there is a small table and bench but they are positioned under trees so don't catch the sun and there were lots of leaves/bugs in that area so we didn't fancy sitting there. I also think it's important to make guests aware that he property is located in gardens which are shared with David's two very large, quite intimidating dogs. This spoiled our enjoyment of the garden to some extent as the dogs would often wander up to us whilst sitting out. I'm sure the dogs were friendly but we weren't reassured that they were, or told they would wander freely in the garden. All in all, a great stop, you'll struggle to find another place with such great views in Cefalu for the price. A really unique spot.
