  • Lovely trullo and grounds
    4 of 5

The trullo is small but perfectly formed with everything you would need, very nice! Outdoor pool, grounds and kitchen are all immaculate and really beautiful. Very good location for access to Ostuni, San Vito del Normanni, Alberobello, Martina Franca and many other beautiful towns (we would definitely recommend a hire car). One slight note which echoes some of the previous reviews is that the family and their friends do use the pool and surrounding seating area on a very frequent basis so I’m not sure it could be described as a private pool. However they were very friendly. Antonio brought us fresh produce from the garden every day, it was really very kind and welcoming. Vincenzo was very helpful in giving us recommendations over WhatsApp and responded really quickly to any problems or queries that we had about the property. We would recommend a stay here, we had a lovely week.

  • Stunning trulli - idyllic location
    5 of 5

Nico our host was wonderful. Greeted with heavenly traditional pastries - so welcome after a long journey across Italy and a bowl of figs and plums too. We were extremely touched at how thoughtful our host was. The trulli was so nicely put together and well equipped. The location and grounds were so peaceful and relaxing, waking to the sound of crickets. Very natural and wonderful to watch the surrounding nature. Although fairly isolated, we felt secure within our own little world for the week we were there and would have loved to stay longer. We would definitely love to return. The area is lovely with lots to see and do. The beach was beautiful and we travelled to Lecce, a beautiful town, Brindisi, which we loved and stumbled upon Trani, which although a two hour drive away was a joy to discover. We had a lovely day wandering around the harbour area and exploring the old castle (once a prison). We also timed it right to enjoy a local wedding in the middle of a lush park/play area - perfect for families. I had come to see Alberobello, as it looks stunning from pictures I had seen and the town didn't disappoint. Lovely to absorb in the history of the trullo and had the opportunity to walk around many of these lovely buildings still inhabited. We loved the area in general - very relaxed and had an authentic Italian feel everywhere we went. It was so easy to drive everywhere too. Of course the towns were busy but the roads in general were free-flowing. We had come from a visit to Sorrento and Positano and whilst we enjoyed our stay there, were so happy to find trulli le ginestre, far less touristy and unspoilt and travelling around was easier. From the moment we arrived, our agent could not have been more helpful, pointing out many places of interest and places to visit, along with restaurants, beaches, everything we could need. The communication was great from the start and throughout our stay. We only wish we could have spoken Italian so that we could have expressed our true appreciation to our host. We have been raving about this holiday (one of my personal favourites) since we arrived at the destination and will definitely recommend to others. I spent many hours looking for my perfect trulli prior to booking this and it was worth it - this, for us was indeed perfect. Hopefully we will return one day! Jen and Jez, Kent
