Highly recommended: the location of Maria's lovely apartment is just inside the old city walls with an array of cafes, restaurants, bars and shops all within very easy walking distance. The Baroque architecture of the Centro Storico of Lecce needs to be seen to be believed (day or night), every street is inviting, there's more than enough in the city to keep the historically minded happy, the food and drink is great and the beach at San Cataldo is 20/30 minutes away by car (once you've learnt how to negotiate your way through the traffic!).

Very helpful host. Lovely shared pool and well appointed villa. You will need to have a car to get into Lecce or take a cab which can be quite expensive.
