The beach in Capitana is ideal for lazy days in the sun, swimming and windsurfing. Capitana is a great spot to learn to surf or to hone your surfing techniques too. Waves of 1-2m strike the shore. The offshore reef creates long, steady waves, perfect for perfecting your carving. A little care is needed as there can be some strong currents.

The rugged countryside of the Cagliari countryside is ideal for exploration on foot, by bicycle or on horseback. There are a huge number of charming little villages in the Sardinian countryside, providing ideal places to stop and relax before heading further up into the hills. There are also a range of excellent golfing options from a self catering Capitana holiday rental. There is a superb 18 hole golf course right on the outskirts of Capitana, and the Is Molas Golf Club can be reached within a few minutes drive.

Lovely house close to beach, excellent shop and restaurant - ideal for two families

5 of 5
We had a wonderful stay at this lovely house in a quiet residential area near a beach and all the useful things one needs like shops, chemist, restaurant, etc. There is a beach just a short 5 minute walk from the house, which felt like a hidden gem and we enjoyed it as much as any of the beaches on the postcards of villasimius et al. There are lots of other beaches within easy reach by car. There is a supermarket two minutes walk from the house, which took a lot of the hassle out of shopping. Above the supermarket there was an excellent restaurant called Tegamino Bianco. The house itself was ideal for two families with a max of 5 children between them. We really appreciated the fact that the house is enclosed in its own grounds and once we shut the gate we could let the children run around freely without worrying where they were. The house is well equipped and has different areas where people can sit and have some quiet time. Elvira was a wonderful host who clearly cared about our stay and was always quick to respond to any queries we had about anything. We strongly recommend staying in this house.
