  • Everything you could ask for!

We had a lovely 10 days at the cottage at the end of June. Because the owner stays at the house, there is everything you need and more. Everyone we met in Civitella Casanova was really friendly, especially the lovely lady at the Tobacconist, who was also very helpful. Plenty of shops and restaurants - we can recommend La Locanda, friendly staff and lovely family owned restaurant - they're 4 year old boy took a shine to our 4 year old daughter (despite the language barrier!). We had some really nice days out, but we actually booked this cottage because we didn't want to travel too much, and we had several peaceful days spent lazing around the pool. Bice was also really helpful, always on hand to help. As soon as we were home, we wished we were back. Thank you

  • Lovely house in atmospheric Abruzzo hilltop village

Pamela's house is simply but comfortably furnished with everything you might need, especially a well-equipped kitchen, and things you don't, like stunning views out. Peaceful Capestrano, like many of the Abruzzo hilltop towns, is semi-deserted but is beautiful with a beguiling ambiance and the one we liked best of those we visited (more even than the usual tourist recommendations such as Santo Stefano di Sessanio). There's a great bar/gelateria, a restaurant, pharmacy and small supermarket in town, plus mobile stalls in the market square but make sure you are aware of their opening times and dates. Pamela's comprehensive welcome pack and optional arrival meal provide a welcome supplement should you miscalculate or arrive late, as we did. Best of all is Pamela's care and consideration for your stay. Highly recommended!
