You can take care of the finest details by picking the guest facilities you’d like – Camerino apartments offer luxuries like gardens and private pools.

Things to do

-Local sights. Camerino is a picturesque town, perched on a hill with sweeping views of the surrounding green countryside. It has the distinction of being home to one of the oldest universities in the world, and is packed with architecture from the 1300s to the 1500s, that has been carefully preserved. Be sure to see the Ducal Palace, considered among the most important renaissance buildings in central Italy.

-Natural scenery. Camerino is on the edge of the Monti Sibillini National Park, encompassing an area of mountain peaks, forest, lakes, rivers and waterfalls. It’s a beautiful backdrop for looped walks and bike rides, invigorating or light, or simply a good place to go for an afternoon picnic surrounded by gorgeous landscapes.

-Skiing. An easy drive to the southeast of Camerino is the compact Sarnano-Sassotetto ski resort, offering good terrain for intermediate skiers and snowboarders. The resort offers nine ski trails, served by eight surface lifts and one chairlift. Another choice is the unassuming resort at Punterra, which offers affordable skiing and snowboarding on five kilometres of trails.

-Excursions. There’s a catalogue of gorgeous medieval hilltowns to discover close to Camerino. Not far to the east is Tolentino, home to the Basilica di San Nicola, which is known for its wonderful frescoes from the 14th Century. Fermo is close to the coast, and boasts a stunning cathedral built in the 1200s, and you should also head for the Piazza del Popolo here to admire the 16th Century palazzi.

-Coast. The Adriatic coast is lined with beautiful sandy and pebble beaches, many of which have the prestigious Blue Flag. The nearest major resort is Civitanova Marche, which has a long and wide bay, and is still a working fishing port. Minutes down the coast is the Blue Flag Porto San Giorgio, fringed by seafood restaurants and pizzerias.

Weather in Camerino

Camerino is surrounded by high ground and so, despite being within easy reach of the Adriatic, gets a continental climate, with cool winters and warm summers. In December and January daily highs hover a few degrees above freezing, dropping below freezing at night. In spring temperatures rise week by week, getting up to the low-20s in May. The warm weather lasts through to early-October, peaking in July, which is both the hottest and driest month of the year. Autumns here are normally mild and damp.

Travel to Camerino

You can reach your holiday home in Tolentino from abroad by flying to Ancona Falconara Airport (AOI). This destination is served by low-cost airlines flying from the UK and other airports across Europe, and sits about an hour from the town of Camerino. The journey is a simple drive down the coastal A14 to Civitanova Marche, before turning onto the SS77 and following it west for about half an hour. Camerino is also connected to the coast by rail – you can get there from Ancona by changing trains at Civitanova Marche and getting the line to Fabriano.

Heaven ! Fantastic place to relaxe

5 of 5
The place was delightful. We had a great time last summer. If you need a place to relaxe, if you love the nature and beautyful countrylife and if you not look for annoying nightlife and bars next to your holidayhome, you definitely should choose Casa Ciclamini. It is a wonderful restored beautyful house just as shown at pictures, with a huge garden and a nice pool. The kitchen is well equipped and the house clean and really nice. You need a car to go to the next supermarket and restaurants, but this is no big deal. I promise you will love the property. The owner and the housekeeper are very nice persons. We will come back soon !

wonderful family holiday in a heavenly place!

5 of 5
We had a a glorious week in Le Marche in a beautiful house which is perfectly restored. The sun shone, the view was utterly astounding and the pool was bliss in the heat of the day. This house is beautifully restored and although all we did was sleep inside because the days were spent eating on the terrace and enjoying the pool, we appreciated the space, the comfort and the way that the house and garden perfectly compliment each other. This is a peaceful part of Italy, near to a lovely town called San Ginesio where the local people welcomed us and were warm and friendly. We enjoyed our morning coffees in Bar Centrale and then the rest of our days by the pool relaxing. We headed out to the Siblini National Parc one day and enjoyed the wonderful views on the drive and our walk. Back at the house we listened to the howls of the wolves in the Parc in the evening and then the amazing sight of golden eagles sailing majestically above us. On one evening we sat until the early hours watching shooting stars. Our week could not have been more magical and our grandson who is six years old said he felt like he was in a dream it was so perfect! We shopped at local supermarkets which can be found on the major routes towards San Ginesio and just outside the walls of the town itself. We bought fresh fruit and veg and cooked wonderful meals which we ate outside every evening. If this review sounds like perfection it is because our time in this house was as close to perfect as it is possible to get. The pool is pristine and was cleaned twice during our stay and everything else was just right for our family. Waking up to laughter in the pool was a wonderful experience for us and we are grateful for the opportunity to have time out of time in a wonderful location. I am sure we will return here many times over.
