  • Great holiday in a fantastic house

Our family stayed here for two weeks in September 2018 and had a fantastic time. The villa is in a rural location, surrounded by olive groves and a few other properties. It's great place to relax. There's a great supermarket a short drive away and it's also close to Lucca, where we spent a lot of time. Inside, the house was spotlessly clean and had great space for a family holiday. The two double bedrooms are really spacious and the smaller bedroom is perfect for kids. The weather was very hot when we were there so we were thankful of AC in all bedrooms. Outside, there's a lovely garden that is secure (fence, lockable gates) so it's great for kids to play in. Also, there are two great areas for alfresco dining. The host, Stefania, was extremely helpful and was always on hand via whatsapp to answer any questions or help with arrangements in the local area. We'd love to come back.

Things we enjoyed.......the peace and quiet of this small hamlet, the stunning views of Tuscan villages on wooded hillside, the home from home feel of a cared for and loved cottage, the light reading area complete with an amazing collection of literature and maps, the outside patio areas giving both sun and shade, the ease of walking from the door along shaded tracks. We were happy not to go far and had arrived by train from Lucca with a taxi pre-booked from Bagni di Lucca. Laura and her family next door who look after the cottage are so friendly and helpful.
