Beautiful appartment, great for our family!

5 of 5
We loved staying in this appartment. It is very well appointed with everything that you need even if you cook as much as we did. The appartment accomodated our 4 young children well with 2 kids each sharing a double bed. It's a 15 minute walk from the lake front to the appartment. It is a good walk but our kids had no problem with it and it was a good way to burn off the calories from a giant 'giusto calde' ice cream (4 scoops) that I insisted on each day. I didn't know much about Baveno but it suited our family better than Stresa. It's smaller, less touristy but has more than enough to keep you happy - bakeries, gelaterias and a few restaurants. It's charming. From Baveno, you can visit the islands, go to Stresa and do all the activities in the area easily. We didn't even have a car. The owners made us feel really welcome and couldn't do enough to make sure we were well settled for the week. We'd have no hesitation about going back or recommending. Some reviewers have mentioned the dogs in a nearby appartment. They are the small yappy kind. I've got to say that they didn't bother us at all. Our kids weren't woken up by them. They were quite loud at times but you're living in an appartment in a shared building. Got used to them very quickly and didn't bother us at all. Beautiful place and area.
