Vacances en Toscane

5 of 5

Highly recommend Villa Carolina!!

5 of 5
I celebrated my 60th birthday with my husband, two children and their spouse/girlfriend. Villa Carolina was perfect for the 6 of us. This villa is very clean and well maintained and great for indoor/outdoor living. The 3 bedrooms are spacious and each has it's own updated bathroom. The kitchen is also updated. The grounds have areas for lounging, a pool and a gazebo with a table and chairs. There is a covered area overlooking the tuscan hills and Poggibonsi with comfortable couches, a dining table, chairs and a barbeque. There is plenty of shade. I had my coffee outside each morning and listened to the roosters and we dined outside at the villa several times. We took a fun cooking class with Lucia at the villa and made homemade pasta and beef ragu. It was delicious and a wonderful experience. We were served outside on a gorgeous night looking at the moon and stars. It was very memorable as was our entire stay at Villa Carolina. Lucia is a great chef. She made homemade pasta and chinghiale (wild boar ragu) for us one night which was incredible. We love Gabrielle and Lucia who were always helpful, attentive, warm and friendly. My children ran each day through Linari where there is an old castle which is being restored...my husband and I walked. We passed beautiful villas, a farm in the valley and beautiful lavender fields. The scenery is spectacular. Villa Carolina is also conveniently located and accessible to the "highway". We took day trips all over tuscany and then returned to the villa for swimming and relaxing. We would love to return and highly recommend this villa!
