Perfect hillside villa with amazing views

5 of 5
We very much enjoyed our stay in this property. Everything inside and outside is clean and of high quality (and properly maintained), and the views really are as breathtaking as described. The villa is completely private, secluded and not at all overlooked, and situated up a hill, though only about a 15 minute drive from Bagni di Lucca, where there are restaurants, bars, a supermarket, small shops and a train station. We were only there for three days, and managed without a car, relying on a local taxi driver (we have entered his details in the guest book). Much longer, and a car would probably be advisable. Chris (the owner) was very helpful in advance in terms of sending guides to the area and a restaurant recommendation, and very flexible on our last day when our driver let us down. Even though he is based in Hong Kong, he responded to emails within a couple of hours. If you do travel into Bagni di Lucca, we would definitely recommend this restaurant: http://www.ristorantedelsonno.it/ - excellent, but reasonably food, and an extensive menu, with friendly staff. We would absolutely return to this villa, and would be more than happy to strongly recommend it to anyone.
