Overall positive experience, just a few niggles. Bathroom fittings need attention(loose toilet seat, sink plug hole not working)It would have been helpful to have some information about local emergency amenities i.e.Doctors,Dentistsetc.also local shops as these are quite hard to spot, also the roads in the area are quite daunting even for experienced drivers. Lots of places to visit especially by ferry from busy Bellagio and the scenery is stunning. Patty very friendly and contactable by phone if needed.

  • Beautiful Vista High Above A Great Village

We were a party of 3 adults in their 70’s and stayed one week in September 2018 We loved the village of Argegno ... filled with loving caring helpful neighbors... restaurant owners...shop keepers... we loved passing others each morning in our walks down to the village and with each Buongiorno another heart warming memory We loved the apartment...the incredible views the more than ample space... the impeccable cleanliness... the modern bathrooms/kitchen waking up to the lake and mountains all as pictured in the listing We were also 3 adults in their 70’s without telephones or car...only wifi email on I pad tablet and USA only mobiles (there is very good wifi in the apartment) but communication with one another and management was inefficient and created some confusion without working telephones We could navigate the very steep and many stairs (the house has a great bannister for holding on to) there are stairs down to the laundry stairs up to the bedrooms and more stairs to the upper loft... and many many more stairs and inclines to and from the village The way to the village for supplies and coming and going must be a consideration to those without a car We felt limited to one round trip walking up and down to the village per day and ate all our meals out... We loved the ferries from town to town and the whizzing C10 buses along the lake ... and the train rides into and out of Como Had we had a car a lot of the life of the village and the people we met on public transit would have been missed... Having no car made buying provisions—impossible for us... we could not possibly carry them up the hill or stop in Como on the way into Argegno at the best big super markets... or go to Lenno to use the closest super market as a possibility... or to be able to have time to enjoy “our house on the hill” with its spectacular view as we would leave in the AM and return after dinner in the late PM This was our experience... with our needs and wants with what we hope is helpful insight as to what others might expect
