Stunningly beautiful villa and ideal location

I spent the first two weeks of May with friends at this spacious and ideally located villa in Umbria. It is nestled on a hillside with a wonderful view of the verdant valley, with the poppies out in full force, lovely sunsets, and a gentle breeze. The lower villa (Gudiolo di Sotto) is ideal for those with children (being of more recent construction than the upper villa, it is flatter, gentler stairs, etc). The rooms are large, well windowed with gorgeous views. Large bathrooms. The kitchen is well equippedfor meal preparation, including the morning cappuccinos. The large terrace is conducive to outdoor reading, conversation, etc. The swimming pool was opened early for our enjoyment - just long enough to do some lengths. The location is perfect for exploring most of Umbria, and parts of Tuscany and the Marche. The owners are warm and charming people. I'd highly recommend Gudiolo to friends.
