Traditional quirky property with stunning views in quiet village

5 of 5
We loved our stay in Stani cottage. The cottage was well-equipped, clean and quirky - filled with local ceramics and fishing paraphernalia - completely as per pictures. We choose the larger of the two cottages with an upstairs bedroom and en-suite. The absolute selling point is the amazing roof terrace with views out to see and over to Amalfi. Being May it was a little chilly at night and first thing, but we still managed to eat all our self-catered meals outside, with the addition of a friendly local cat. Amazing smelling Jasmine everywhere and gorgeous skies. We loved that Conca was far quieter than the surrounding towns. The beach whilst pebbled, is sunny until mid afternoon and has a few nice restaurants and the local shop has everything you could need (though note shop c.18 min walk and beach probably half an hour - you'll be super fit with all the stairs, but the views make up for it!). We loved dinner at La Capo de Bonita, very tasty and good value for what it was. If you're feeling brave, walk up (steps but a lot of uphill) via San Lazarro to join the path of the gods walk - we probably did 20k that day, but the initial bit felt like the real Amalfi coast and was very rewarding to finish the day with a beer and a swim. Be aware that the buses don't run to time - if you're late try waiting anyway as one usually shows up! Arriving on a Sunday and bank holiday Monday meant they were extremely busy, but improved as the week went on (don't buy the 8euro day pass unless you really are going to make a lot of trips, we felt SITA were trying to up-sell a lot). Elena was very responsive by email and whilst staying next door for a couple of days, they even offered to pick anything up from the supermarket for us. All in all, a great choice if you want to stay on the coast but not be in the thick of the touristy towns and like great views and walking.

The view is breathtaking and the place is very well looked after. The rooms are big and well appointed. The complex is quiet and relaxing. We were very happy of our stay. Really kind welcome from the owners. Summer In Italy were very professional and kind, we have been totally satisfied for their service.
