Beautiful location!

4 of 5
We were really lucky and had beautiful weather during our stay in June. The setting is beautiful, overlooking a picturesque tranquil bay, with crystal clear water, pebble beach and some of the best views in Europe. The house itself is spacious and comfy although showing it’s age a little in places. Wish we could have had access to a small boat or kayak but understand why this might present liability issues! There are lovely garden areas surrounding the house which are very well maintained and a large terrace with a good range of high quality furniture. The house is about 15 mins from skibereen and about 90 mins from Cork. The Church restaurant in skibereen was very impressive and had a vegan main course option that was delicious. Trip to Bantry House was well worth a visit - also wish we’d had the time to go whale watching nearby. Would definitely recommend a stay here.

Fabulous!

Loved where this house was - the view was all our own. We went here as a couple for our silver wedding but the house would comfortably sleep a large family. The tiny private 'beach' was great for finding sea glass! Really peaceful place. Windows were great for taking in the view and we spent hours just staring at it. To sit up in bed and watch the waves was lovely. Roads are very narrow, but lot's of lovely coves within a couple of miles as the crow flies. Beautiful.
