Dream house in a dream location

5 of 5
We stayed in Betty's cottage for a week during February. From our initial inquiry about accommodation to our leaving, our experience was extremely positive. All our questions were answered promptly and clearly in advance of our arrival. On arrival, we were very pleasantly surprised by the location - the photographs cannot convey the panoramic view from the front of the house. We were very happy to sit and look out at the vastness of Fermoyle beach and the mountains behind. There was lots of information in the house about walks and things to do in the vicinity. The house itself is very well-maintained, tastefully decorated and most comfortable. We were a couple but this house would also be suitable for a larger group as there are a number of living spaces - a spacious kitchen/ dining room, a sitting room with TV, great selection of DVDs, music system and open fire and another quiet room, perfect for reading - and a beautifully kept garden and patio area. The location was perfect for us. We like to walk the beaches - and there was such a choice from small coves to literally miles of beach. It is also just a 30-minute drive to Dingle over the Connor Pass - on a clear day, this drive is worth it for the views. We stocked up in Dingle in the many fine shops there. On two evenings we walked from the house to one of the pubs in the village of Brandon - our favourite was Murphy's Bar located on the pier - about a 20-minute walk. It is a proper traditional pub and they also serve food. And don't miss out on the fabulous bakery in Cloghane - about a 10-minute drive from the house. We highly recommend this property and we look forward to returning. Thank you Betty.
