Loved our stay in the North at Moonfish!

5 of 5
My husband and I, and my parents, spent 8 nights in Pelican at Moonfish. We loved our stay in this part of the island and Moonfish was a great location from which to explore all that this part of Grenada offers. Pelican is a casual, comfortable, spacious beach house with soaring ceilings and great balconies facing the ocean (off of the upstairs dining/living area and the main level bedrooms). A color scheme of blues, whites and grays reflects the ocean location and is very cheerful. We spent many hours on the upstairs balcony looking out at the ocean and nearby islands, enjoying the constant ocean breezes, the sound of the crashing waves and soaking in the incredible natural beauty. Because of the breezes, we didn't encounter any mosquitoes here. Kitty was amazingly helpful in her suggestions for restaurants and things to do. She really went the extra mile to be hospitable in every way. Any issues that we had were promptly addressed. Having the beach steps away from our doorstep and a swimming beach on Bathway just a couple minutes walk away, was ideal. Levera Beach was also very, very close. Two absolutely beautiful beaches! The breezes and ceiling fans kept things mostly comfortable, although some nights were warmer than we'd like for sleeping. The sounds of crashing waves and frogs at night were a natural, interesting part of the surrounding environment and we loved hearing them. They might be too loud for some for sleeping, so just bring earplugs if it might be an issue. We loved our time in the North and our stay at Moonfish! We loved the privacy and the special beauty that we encountered here. We'd love to come back!

Peaceful, relaxing beachfront apartment

5 of 5
The property was very easy to find after we drove up Island from St. David. It's in an absolutely stunning location along Bathway Beach. Kitty and Russ were very pleasant, excellent hosts and provided lots of information about the area. We felt welcome and settled in to the clean comfortable apartment easily. The sounds of the birds and crashing waves provided a wonderful soundtrack and the view from the property is beautiful. We explored the north of the island and had terrific experiences at Levara pond and beach, Sauteurs and Belmont Estate. The lunch buffet and walking around the Belmont Estate are highly recommended. Don't forget to check out their gardens! We also spent a fair amount of time just relaxing on the beach and hanging out at the pool at the property. We love Grenada and miss the friendliness and beauty already. Cameron & Judy

Absolute paradise!

We stayed at the Moonfish Villa for three weeks. It was a little piece of heaven. The Moonfish Villa offered us the best way to relax and to tour the beautiful island of Grenada. The location is fantastic, right by the ocean. We would spend most of the time on the big terrace, especially in the morning, watching the sunrise and looking at the waves. The Bathway Beach is just beautiful, never crowded, pretty much empty. The Levera Beach is only a 15-minute walk away, and is just as breathtaking and even less crowded. The colour of the ocean is just unbelievable. The villa is very spacious, two bedrooms plus two baths downstairs and huge kitchen/ dining/ living space upstairs, plus that amazing terrace. The kitchen has everything you need. No dishwasher and no washer and dryer, after all it is a "beach house", but Kitty let us do a couple loads of laundry. The place is really clean, it feels like home from the moment you step into it. The location is away from the hustle and bustle, there are no resorts on this side of the island except for Petite Anse which is a good drive away. No coffee shops either, just a handful of restaurants, you can only walk to Aggie's, which is really good, the other restaurants you need to drive to. The Heights is fantastic. Bring your own coffee if you are a coffee lover, you can only buy instant on this side. The villa has a French press. St. George's is about 1.5 hour away, the road is narrow and steep at times as you drive through the mountains. It looks close on the map, but it isn't. Kitty and Russ are a wonderful couple, very helpful, easy to communicate with. The pool is really neat, rarely busy as there is just one more villa and one suite for rent. You definitely need a car there. Be prepared to really relax and decompress. The place is just made for that. It was a great holiday!
