Very well situated apartments. Set in it's own olive grove just off the main busy road. Lovely pool that never got busy, even though it seemed all of the apartments were occupied. Really helpful staff that ran the little snack bar that really is worth a try. Be warned though, if you go for the Greek Breakfast, you'd better be hungry 10 mins walk to the beaches and restaurants. All in all a very nice relxing place to spend your time

From the moment we arrived we knew we were going to have a great holiday. Irini and Michaelis welcomed us, showed us to our apartment and made us feel really welcome. They provided useful information about the area and how best to get around as we did not have a car. The apartment was very comfortable, clean and had air con. in both bedrooms. The terrace had a table and chairs, settee, drying rack and cleaning equipment. There was ample accommodation for the 3 of us (adults). The garden and pool area are well maintained and the olive trees provide shade. There are many loungers around the pool. There is a life guard on duty and the pool is great for children and families. It is safe. No child can get into the pool accidentally as there is a glass fence all around and the doors in are always closed by the guard if someone forgets to close one. The bar/snack-bar is an added bonus that we made good use of. They closed at 9pm so there was no chance of noise late at night. We ate there most lunch times and some evenings. There are also several good restaurants in walking distance. The nearest beach is great for snorkelling and has a shower, changing booths, bar and toilets. There are 2 supermarkets nearby. The Little train Company run daily excursions into the hinterland and foothills of the White Mountains. We went on 3. We visited a gorge, an olive factory, conservation lake, orange grove, winery and a convent and thoroughly enjoyed them. The no. 21 bus takes you into Chania. If you buy the ticket on the bus it costs 2 euros. You can then buy a quantity of tickets at the bus station that cost 1.20 euros. Old Chania is a lovely city with lots of quaint streets, loads of shops, several museums, a great waterfront and good restaurants. It is well worth a visit. We can thoroughly recommend Elea apartments. The hotel is family friendly but also great for adults. We got to know many of the guests and everyone looks out for each other. WE HAD A GREAT HOLIDAY.
