Located on the sandy coast of the Greek Peloponnese, Stoupa is a popular village for British holiday makers to take a villa and relax in the sun. The largest attractions from a Stoupa property are the stunning beaches which stretch along the Mani Peninsula. There are three separate bays lined with sand and fine pebble beaches in easy walking distance of a Stoupa villa, all set in idyllic surroundings, with olive groves growing right down to the back of the dunes. Even during the height of the summer, accommodation in Stoupa affords visitors a really relaxing break in the sun, with a good spot on the beach almost guaranteed at any time of the season. Stoupa beach is one of the finest in the region, sloping gently into the warm sea, and as a result, large Stoupa villas have become a particular favourite with British families.

The three beaches available from a Stoupa property all have different characters, from the taverna backed Stoupa Beach to the quiet, shaded Kalogria Beach and the rocky Halikoura Beach which is ideal for fishing in Stoupa. The warm waters of the Mediterranean teem with sea life, which makes diving, snorkelling and fishing in Stoupa a real treat.

There is some excellent walking available in the area, with the Peloponnese coastal path running past many of the beachfront properties in Stoupa. Walking in the region is varied and spectacular, from the coastal paths to the endless walking in the amazing Taygetos Mountains. The inland area of Stoupa, Peloponnese, consists of dramatic ravines, deep caves, soaring mountains and some truly amazing Greek mountain villages.

In the evening, there are 20 plus bars, tavernas and restaurants to choose from, although if you are looking for a big night out from your apartment in Stoupa, there is only one nightclub to choose from!

Great vacation in charming house close to the castle of Koroni

5 of 5
We have spent three weeks in August with our 13 year old daughter in this charming house. The description is very loyal. We particularly appreciated the very well equipped kitchen. The place is very calm although it takes only 8 minutes to the center. Korani is very charming (as many Greek cities it has a lot of stairs and narrow streets). The way to the beach walking through the Venetian Castle is fantastic! Make sure you visit the nuns there. Jina and Nick provided us with a lot of great advice on beaches and restaurants that we followed. But the very best was the great view which one can enjoy from the balcony .We definetely recommend staying in this house.

Gorgeously located villa with stunning views and pool.

We had a fantastic holiday at Megali Mandinia. It's set up in the mountain looking over the bay towards to other side of the peninsula. The view from the villa is breath taking, especially at sunset. The villa is modern and well kept and Ionna and family were welcoming and helpful with any questions we had about the local area. It's location was great for exploring both local and beaches further away. Make sure you visit Methoni, pylos and our absolute favourite a more local destination the beach at Foneas. Of course we spent plenty of time relaxing by the fabulous pool at the villa. You definitely need a car - the nearest shops are a drive!
