  • Lovely villa with great views.

We were met by the villa owner, Eleanna, on the day of arrival following difficulties finding the villa. She was most helpful and even took us to Plakias (5km) to the best supermarket in the town. The villa ia well positioned to take advantage of the vistas and is in walking distance to 3 restaurants in the village of Selia. The walk up to the village can be quite difficult for those not too mobile and a torch is highly recommended for return journey. The villa is adequately equiped but the addition of a toaster would be beneficial, plus an instruction as to how to use the TV system, unless of course you have a young child with you who obviously wouldn't need instructions!! The villa itself is small and cosy and to us would have been quite small for 4 even though there are 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom could have been challenging for 4 people getting ready to go for dinner in the evening. All in all a good holiday in a lovely villa / island. A thanks also to Valia from Think Villa and Best Cars for reacting positively to our hire car issue.

This villa has an absolutely fabulous view from the pool area and pool. The pool is wonderful and is maintained to a very high standard. We were made to feel very welcome and nothing was too much trouble. We always felt there was someone at the end of a telephone if we needed anything. The owner Andreas left us lunch on arrival including a homemade pasta dish and cakes together with various other Greek treats. He personally met us at the villa and contacted us by whatsapp during our stay with suggestions of restaurants etc. On cleaning day he messaged us to tell us the time they would come and once again we were brought homemade cakes. He also came to drop off gifts for us to take home of Greek olive oil and rosemary and check we had had a good time. The etouri team also contacted us on our first day on the villa phone to check everything was alright and to offer their assistance with anything we needed arranging. We did take them up on this offer and asked them to book a taxi to a restaurant one evening which they organised for us. Although it says the nearest taverna is 350metres this appeared to be more of a Greek cafe. The taverna which we ate in was about 15 minutes walk away, the Kaktus taverna and we enjoyed some very tasty food there. Other than that we took a taxi organised by etouri to the beach area where there were tavernas which cost €20 euros for a return trip. The Villa was extremely well equipped with plenty of crockery and cutlery and lots of thoughtful things like plastic cups, herbs, oil, coffee for the coffee maker and cling film and foil etc. Every time you opened a cupboard or drawer you found something useful making it feel like home for the week. The supermarket next door was very useful and wasn't noisy although there was some noise on a couple of nights which you could hear if you slept at the front of the villa from a nearby parking area. We also booked a car for a few days during our stay in advance and a taxi both ways to the airport all through the owners company auto different and this all went very smoothly and was well organised. The company replied to my emails with regard to timings etc promptly and efficiently.
