Well equipped and spacious accomodation in a good location

4 of 5
We booked 2 villas - Chloe and Efterpe - for our children and their families to stay in. We were pleasantly surprised with the good standard and range of equipment in both properties. We were also very impressed with George, who came out at 9pm on Saturday evening in the middle of heavy rain to deal with a problem with the electricity. It was good to find some books to read as the weather wasn't always sunny. The location of the villas is good, but once off the main road the route is mostly rough and would benefit from being improved. That said, we had no problem driving up there, even during and after heavy rain. One of the villas had a washing machine for which there was no manual, and some of the controls were worn so it wasn't easy to work out how it worked. There was a manual - for a different washing machine - but this was only in Greek so would not have helped. Other information about the properties, contact details etc. was provided in English and it would be good to have instructions for electrical items in English too. These are small things that didn't stop our families having a good time staying in the villas, but they could make the experience even better.

Charming villa in a friendly Greek village

5 of 5
We had a wonderful family holiday at Villa Kefi in early August. The location is ideal. The Villa is in a pleasant village and just a short walk to a good long beach (part sand, part pebbles) with a lovely view across to the Mani peninsula A taxi ride from the airport, we happily spent a week there with two toddlers, without any need for a car. The food in Chrani was excellent; the restaurants served delicious Greek home cooking and the people were friendly and welcoming. Bonita, the owner, could not have been more helpful. Besides arranging for the taxi from the airport, she ensured we had everything we needed for a pleasant stay, from a new drying rack for bathing suits to excellent advice about the local restaurants and shops. We enjoyed breakfast (and often lunch) sitting around the table on the veranda overlooking the garden, with the convenience of the outside kitchen area. Every morning we fetched freshly baked bread and locally grown fruit (grapes and melon) from the nearby shop. In between naps and visits to the beach, the children played happily in the garden area. The beach was lovely, the water crystal clear. There are showers at the exits to wash off the salt. We twice walked along it after swimming to the Caribbean bar for an enjoyable lunch right behind the beach. The Villa is clean and comfortable, with a quirky layout of the bedrooms, which is part of its charm. Two of the bedrooms are cooled by fans, the third bedroom has air conditioning and an ensuite bathroom which provides its only window. If you plan to be there without a car, then it’s useful to know that there is no ATM in Chrani. All in all we had a highly enjoyable stay at Villa Kefi, in a friendly Greek atmosphere.

Perfect family location with spectacular views

4 of 5
Villa Shani is the private house of a cosmopolitan family in Methoni, Greece, very pleasant and unpretentious. Once or twice during the year it is possible to rent the place. It´s ideal for families with two or three kids. The house is located in the middle of an olive grove that is still being cultivated with fantastic views onto the sea and the fortress of Methony. It is built very creatively with lots of lovely details and nice furniture. The place has three bed-rooms, a big kitchen / living- / and dining-room as well as a huge terrace (with the views) and a swimming pool. You can easily spend the whole day at the house or you can visit various beaches, water-falls and archeological sites that are all near-by. There are a few excellent restaurants in the neighbourhood. Nine days went by like nothing and at the end the kids wanted to stay for another week.
