Wonderful part of Greece

4 of 5
Excellent hosts - always very helpful and full of good advice. It is in a very nice part of Mani, which means that you can access interesting beaches and bays south and north, and also the historical caves nearby. House is in a small village, which has very little going on apart from some other houses and one church, and the nearest village with a shop is about 5 minutes drive away (check out nice bakery). You will need a car to get around. Nearest beach is pebbly but very nice and around 5 minutes drive. House is restored according to local tradition and the two levels are connected with an external staircase (so difficult if you have young children across the two levels). House is semi-detached and with a small garden. Our kids didn't spend much time outside as there are many bees/wasps. Internet is very slow - but I think this is the case for the whole region, and was fine for us but some may find it problematic. Kitchen doesn't have dishwasher and could do with a few more bits and pieces.

A Dreamy place

5 of 5
We stayed at the Mani House attracted by the beautiful stone house and the trip was worth it. The property was indeed beautiful and maintained at excellent standards. The infinity pool offered amazing views during the whole day and night, The stone walls combined with a modern interior is focused on comfort. The traditional albeit unique property features all modern conveniences including, among others, a sound system for different areas of the house; satellite TV, BBQ, and wood oven. The TV/stereo set up was very advanced and broadcasted at the pool area too. The living room was really cozy and the kitchen fully equipped with a high standard appliance. The bedrooms all had their own bathroom each decorated in different colors from the others, A/C, and window nets. The house, in general, was very spacious and we did not feel that it was crammed, it rather gave us a sense of comfort and relaxation throughout. The surrounding the house space divided into several areas with stone paths, among trees, local plants, olive and fruitful trees offers a sense of beauty. The house is located at the end of a small village, which means you need to have a car to go to the beach (4 minutes by car) or to a taverna, but even so, it is totally worth the visit!
