                                      Brilliant villa, superb host

Our stay at the Barbounis Villa was wonderful. The pool is ideal for recovering from outings, and makes for a lovely backdrop for dining on the patio. The villa itself is clean, modern and perfect for any type of family holiday, from active to sunworshipper. Kostas the owner and his two delightful children make you feel v welcome, and react to any issue promptly. We had a lock on a gate break, which was essential for keeping our nosey two year old away from the pool. After alerting Kostas, he arrived within the hour to replace it. He also appeared throughout the week to water plants, and surprise us with desserts and beer. The only addition I would suggest to the villa would be a book with all the necessary information - how everything works - so that visitors dont have to keep asking Kostas. Overall a lovely experience. Bravo

Quiet space for an autumn recharge

                                      5 of 5
Staying in October, we were lucky with the weather (at least until the last 24 hours!), but this was a perfect place to relax. An hour to Heraklion, and only a little more to Charnia, we could explore much of the island without too much time in the car. And two teenage boys enjoyed the pool once we returned. Set in a small development of about ten villas among the olive and citrus groves, this is a peaceful spot. The nearest shops and tavernas are less than 10 minutes away, but it was very helpful that we were met out on the main highway and taken to the villa the first time. The kitchen had what you would need, the beds were comfy and showers up and downstairs prevented any holdups in the morning. The arrival process was smooth, with the local support very friendly and responsive. All in all an easy and relaxing holiday.

Beautiful villa, a taste of paradise

                                      5 of 5
I spent 2½ weeks with family and friends at the beautiful Villa Elisabeth in June this year. This was my second holiday at the villa so once again I was able to enjoy the paradise-like setting of the villa with panoramic views of Northern Crete, lovely large garden with inviting pool and jacuzzi, and oh so peaceful surroundings. Inside, the villa matches this with spacious living accommodation, and all the facilities you need. Air conditioned bedrooms ensure a comfortable evening after days in the sun. The villa is set in Perama, a traditional small Cretan town which boasts all the needs for day to day living plus a few shopping surprises. Car hire is a must, which brings the beach resorts with selections of excellent restaurants of Panormos, Bali and the larger Rethymnon within easy reach. Property manageress Elisabeth and owner Stelios (her father) ensure the property is superbly maintained, and provide first class, yet unobtrusive, customer service. Highly recommended!!
