Holidaymakers searching for holiday rentals in Peloponnese also enquired about villas in Fiskardo, villas in Katelios and villas in Katouna

Make a holiday rental apartment or villa in the Peloponnese, Greece your home away from home

The Peloponnese, the most southerly point region of Greece stands out among Mediterranean holiday destinations as a location with something to suit all travellers. It is a mythical, rugged land, covered in mountains, where the air is filled with the aroma of the Mediterranean and the sounds of local music.

Things to do on holiday to the Peloponnese, Greece

Holidays to the Peloponnese are such a great option for mixed parties as there is hugely diverse amount of activities, culture and points of interest on offer to enjoy. Hill walking, mountain biking, car or cycle touring, ancient ruins, sailing, yachting and glorious beaches are all found in close proximity to a villa in the Peloponnese, all presented in some of the most scenic landscapes in Greece. The more discerning holiday makers will take full advantage of the range of activities, sites and cultural activities by using the flexibility and freedom of a private property rental in the Peloponnese.

Some of the best beaches in Greece are in the Peloponnese. The beach at Messenia is particularly well loved by both locals and tourists alike, but there are also many secluded beaches to sunbathe on in the region too.

The ancient ruins of Olympia, Palace of Agamemnon in Mycenae and the Theatre of Epidravos are all within easy distance of an apartment in the Peloponnese, and are well worth visiting if you have the chance.

The cuisine of the Peloponnese is fantastic, and dining in one of the famous tavernas or kafeneios will not only allow you to try authentic Greek food, based on freshly harvested olives, tomatoes and seafood, washed down with Ouzo, but you can also test your rhythm in an impromptu Kalamatiano dance circle.

Places to holiday to the Peloponnese, Greece

Nafplion is known as one of the most romantic holiday destinations on the Argolic Gulf. The beautiful Venetian architecture is overshadowed by the domineering fortresses which guard Nafplio’s coast. Of the three main fortresses, the Palamidi Fortress is the most impressive and is certainly worth investigation when staying in any of the accommodation in the Peloponnese.

The Taygetus and Parnon Mountains are stunning regions, and those looking to explore the natural habitats, nature and beautiful landscapes of the Peloponnese, are an essential destination. There are a range of well marked walking and cycling trails, and jeep hire available for off-roading.

Travel to Peloponnese, Greece

Many travellers staying in villas in the Peloponnese fly from the UK direct to Athens International Airport (ATH), and then catch a bus to Nafplio, Mycenae or Corinth, depending on the location of their holiday accommodation.

Beautiful location

4 of 5
Villa Aria is set above a beautiful Sandy cove - the photographs on the website make it seem like this is the only property on the beach but there are two other villas that sit within the little cove, plus there is public access to the beach. We were two families of five and whilst the Villa states it sleeps 16 there are in fact only 4 double bedrooms in the main villa. Below the villa is a self contained flat with two more double bedrooms (although you could fit more beds in one of the rooms if required), there is a kitchenette and two bathrooms. There are a further 2 :double bedrooms in a bunker style annexe by the tennis court - no views and not a very nice place to have to stay. The main villa has one bedroom in the ground floor which has an ensuite and is a true master bedroom, the three double bedrooms upstairs share two bathrooms and whilst two have views the third bedroom has no outlook, therefore if you are two families there is only really one proper master bedroom suite. The living space in the Villa is adequate as most time is spent outside, however they do really need air conditioning in the kitchen/sitting room area. I wouldn't say the accommodation is luxurious but there are nice touches like the Korres bathroom products (which I love). The outside space is lovely but more thought should have been given to shady areas, especially for eating breakfast etc - quite limited. The quality of the ouside furniture could be better, only two wooden sun beds and even the mattresses on these are thin and uncomfortable. The real plus of this villa and its location is the beautiful sea and small beach, the villa provides numerous "toys" for water activities. The Dinghy is a real bonus if you have budding sailors. Alex, the owner, is never far away and deals with any issues and requests - he is charming and was brilliant with our teenagers, nothing is too much trouble. Alex has two ladies that help him and they are equally brilliant, we had massages and the teenagers enjoyed a treasure hunt, they also looked after our daughters one day when we went out for the day. Angela is available to cook and do breakfast, we had brekfast everyday which she prepares and then clears away afterwards. The tennis court was great for evening tennis and a dip in the sea afterwards was wonderful. We had a thoroughly enjoyable week, special thanks to Alex.

Perfection, truly hard to fault!

5 of 5
We've just returned from two and a half weeks in this beautiful villa and can only endorse the rave reviews that lead us here in the first place. The back of the villa on approach appears deceptively smaller (a bit of a tardis)than anticipated, then you step out of the car (a straightforward two hour drive from Athens) and those views!!!! Not only the view in the main photo which is indeed stunning, but this villa also has spectacular views at night over distant villages. The lights, boats, mountains all make for an intoxicating combination. Wonderful place to see the stars at night also! The villa is perfectly equipped with everything you could need. All bedrooms are a good size and lead out on the lower level to the pool and views! Very comfortable beds and everywhere is immaculately cleaned and maintained. Quiet fans and efficient air conditioning, which was most welcome as Greece was experiencing a heatwave whilst we were there. We stayed in more than we ordinarily would, both days and evenings as it was very difficult to pull ourselves away from this idyllic spot. Our teenage children were very happy ( important to family harmony on holidays these days) with the quality of the wifi and with the exception of very heavy traffic times the speeds were very good. We spent much time in the pool both swimming, playing, but also just watching the incredible views from the infinity end! There is a very good local beach at Kondili (stony)only a few minutes drive away and another favourite of ours was Karathona (sandy)an easy but slightly longer drive away. Both have beds, umbrellas (no charge although you are of course expected to buy at least one drink) and places to get a drink. If you're going for longer most people pick up food from the bakery and buy drinks at the beach. In the local village of Drepano, a few minutes drive, are many tavernas on the market square, and great bakeries and small supermarkets. Big supermarkets are in Naplio about 20 mins drive. There is a lovely located taverna on the beach at Vivari, Ouna Ratsa Ouna Fatsa, but be prepared to have your food virtually thrown at you and in which ever order it arrives! The best thing about this villa are the incredible hosts Katerina and Dimitris. They really care about making this place perfect and that shows in everything they do. They are charming, responsive and totally committed to ensuring your stay is perfect in every detail! We'll most definitely be back!
