  • Wonderful place to stay in Naxos town (Chora)

We’ve just had a wonderful holiday staying in House120 on Naxos. We were there from late August to 13 September 2018. Elisa’s house is located in a quiet residential area just on the outskirts of Chora. The local Greek residents were very friendly and there was parking space right outside the house for our hire car. To walk from House120 to the port took 10 minutes, while a walk to Agios Georgios beach took 15 minutes. There are numerous tavernas in the town that can be reached in 10-15 minutes. House120 is beautifully furnished with everything you need for the perfect comfortable holiday. We found the small back terrace with its large table and parasol very hot even in early September. There’s good air conditioning in the two large bedrooms on the upper floor, and good air flow on the ground floor. The local manager of the property is Janine who is English (speaks fluent Greek), and who has lived on Naxos for many years. She’s excellent and provided very good guidance on many local venues and tavernas. She was waiting for us when we arrived at the property by taxi from Naxos airport – we had to get the taxi driver to talk to Janine on the mobile phone because he wasn’t sure how to find the house. She came in every few days to clean and change the bed linen and towels. All in all we had an excellent holiday, and House120 is perfectly situated for all the amenities of Naxos town.

  • Characterful Chora Castle
    5 of 5

Jolanda castle house, is a unique property with dome Venetian features revealed during a sympathetic and tasteful renovation. Balconies with excellent views plenty of Windows and a welcome sea breeze. All home comforts are present. The walk from the town is a step back through history, one not to forget. The capital town of Chora is one of the most enchanting holiday experiences you could wish for....fantastic shallow clear watered beach bay, huge range of excellent waterside and old town restaurants and bars and the contrasting Greek style architecture sitting below Venetian style higher up around the castle centre piece. And the iconic 2500 year old temple gate looks down and focuses the town on the most atmospheric sunset every night. Absolutely loved it, simply have to come back!!
