Beautiful little house in an Olive grove

5 of 5
We've just spent two lovely weeks in this house near Asopos ( 3km) and Bozas beach. The house is 10 minutes' walk along the quiet road to Bozas which has an excellent and friendly restaurant and a beautiful beach. Well furnished on 3 floors, the house gave us a comfortable and beautiful base for our travels round the lower part of this 'finger' of the Peloponnese. Access to floors is by means of a spiral staircase. The kitchen is well-equipped. The house is set amidst olive trees giving a strong sense of privacy. Eleni and Kostas provided very helpful information about the house and the area. We were welcomed by Kostas' wonderful parents (who speak only Greek) who directed us from Asopos then showed us all we needed to know about the cottage and more. Their warm and extremely friendly approach was a great welcome to the house. The shaded garden has hammocks and comfortable seating. We walked regularly to Plitra which has lovely calm beaches and a number of very good restaurants. The walk took us about an hour from the house and gave us a bit more of a sense of the local area. We had a wonderful relaxing break in this pretty house. The electrics of the house only allow small appliances, lighting and chargers to be used. While there is no wifi we got a strong cellphone signal so with a decent data package we had a strong mobile internet connection. Fridge and hob are operated by gas. There are a number of brikis and a small gas briki burner so we regularly made our own Greek coffee. On the warmer nights it might have been preferable to have the use of a fan, but this was our only reservation about the house. We had a very memorable and enjoyable holiday in this unusual and distinctive property. We were delighted and honoured to meet Kostas' parents. We have no hesitation in recommending this house to anyone looking for a holiday in an unspoilt part of the Greek mainland.

Limonas is an absolute tonic!

5 of 5
The property and surrounding area has a very magical charm and warmth about it. The local people were very welcoming and we felt very much at home. Loved the 'off grid' part of solar water heating and lighting. Chante and Theo (the welcoming party) were like old friends and couldn't be more helpful. We always felt as though we were being looked after. If you want a relaxing holiday and get a flavour of Greek life look no further. Having a car was a must for short excursions and trips into the mountains, but most of the time we were very happy on the local beech and going to local restaurants. Would thoroughly recommend, and can see ourselves going back in the future. Thanks to the owners for sharing their beautiful property.
