  • Nice villa with an amazing view
    5 of 5

We had a great time in Villa Veni! The house was breezy with many balconies, terraces and a nice front yard. We enjoyed the sea view and of course sailboats, big ships and ferry boats all sailed across our horizon. We liked the house from the beginning but we fell in love more and more by the day. The first two days we didn't dare to swim in the sea in front of the house because the wind was very strong (but very close there are several beautiful beaches to enjoy. ) wh The house is about 15 minutes drive to Poseidon Temple in Suonio and about 50 km from Athens. There are many good restaurants in Lavrio and on the way to Suonio. The house was clean, the beds were comfortable, there was plenty of towels and beach towels we could use. I would recommend the property to friends and relatives and I plan to go back!

  • Great Family Villa Close to Stunning, Quiet Beach
    5 of 5

We stayed at the villa for 3 weeks in the summer of 2018 and found it to be almost perfect for us. We loved the quiet rural location and the ability to walk to the stunning sandy beach, only minutes away. The area is unspoilt while also having plenty of attractions a short journey away. On weekdays the beach was usually very quiet, but it did normally get busier during the weekends. The villa was clean and well equipped although a microwave would have been useful. Air con was great especially in our first few days until we got more acclimatised. There is an established garden with some lovely plants, herbs and fruit trees. There was also interesting wildlife around, we returned from the beach one day to find a tortoise wandering in the garden and we also saw small lizards when we went looking for them. We had planned to hire a car but as the local buses were reliable and comfortable we decided to use them instead. Taxis were also good value and the drivers were always very helpful. The 2 local tavernas, Stavento's and Artemis, were also very good and made efforts to cater for vegetarians. The main town, Lavrio, was 10 min away on the bus and has a good mix of shops. My Market and Jumbo provided everything we needed while the smaller deli's had some delicious local foods. We had a late flight and as my daughter has some food intolerances it was a concern that we would struggle to find suitable foods for breakfast, but Maria was kind enough do a basic shop which made the first day as relaxing as the last. We would love to return to the villa again and while it may be wouldn’t suit everyone, it was ideal for us, serving as a base for relaxing days by the beach and some unforgettable trips out.
