Make a holiday rental property or villa in Koroni, Greece your home away from home

Located in the southern area of the Peloponnese, Greece, Koroni is a tiny port village, made famous by the dominant castle that stands above the village. This is real Greece at its best, untainted by the onset of mass tourism and located on the wild, unspoilt coast of the Messinian Gulf. A Koroni property is the ideal hideaway in the Greek sun, seemingly a lifetime away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life back home, as well as the tourist crowds that plague many parts of the Greek coastline.

Things to do in Koroni, Greece

Zaga Beach is just a short, leisurely walk from a holiday rental property in Koroni. Many hours can be spent lazing on the golden sands, swimming in the crystal clear waters of the Mediterranean or having a long, unhurried lunch in one of the many tavernas and cafes that line the back of the beach.

The huge castle that stands on a rock above the village is a remarkable sight, and the castle is well worth exploring from a holiday villa in Koroni. The whole village is a delight to tour, with the thin, honey-coloured streets home to villas and houses in Koroni decked out in colourful flowers. There are also plenty of fantastic little pavement cafes and restaurants with views out over the gulf, serving delicious dishes of local origin. Nearby, the archaeological discoveries of Messina and Mystras also provide fascinating places to explore from a Koroni holiday rental.

If you would like to try any water sports or are looking for tourist facilities that you cannot find in Koroni, the popular beach resort of Stoupa is never far away. Stoupa has everything you might need for a luxurious break in the Peloponnese. There is also some wonderful walking to be had from Stoupa, especially if you follow the Peloponnese Coastal Path upon which Stoupa stands.

Koroni offers a perfect getaway at any time of year. June until September marks the main holiday season, with daily temperatures during this period usually reaching at least 25˚C. Even during the winter months, (December – February), you would be unlucky to experience daily temperatures of less than 10˚C.

Kind hosts, comfortable house, beautiful sea

5 of 5
Thanks to Nick and Jina for being such great hosts, ferrying us to and from the airport and filling us in on the area. Even making a stop so we could stock up on groceries. The house is as described, very comfortable and functional. The view is fantastic and nothing beats waking up to the dawn over the sea and far mountains. We loved swimming in the beautiful sea, especially near the cliffs at Zaga Beach and sometimes at the beach at the far end of town. We stayed two weeks and became regulars at Kaggalarios fish restaurant and the Break-Time coffee shop. Nice folks, very warm. As we didn't have a car, we were pleased by the well stocked grocery, complete with fresh veg and and very good butcher and deli counter. A visit or two to the castle and the monastery is a must. All in all a lovely laid back holiday. Thank you!

Great Holiday

We enjoyed very much our holiday at this beautiful and comfortable holiday flat. It is located at a very quiet spot on the hill with amazing view of the sea, at a walking distance from a lovely beach. It suits people who look for a peaceful and relaxing holiday. The flat is well equipped, spacious and pleasant. The owners were nice and attentive.
