Another fun way to see the area is by taking a ride on the Kalavrita Railway, a scenic railway that is popular with visitors. History tours, led by knowledgeable guides, are available and are a great way to see several important historic sites whilst being able to ask questions. Kandia is a small and traditional village, but there are still many interesting attractions nearby. The Palamidi Castle provides a lovely view of the village whilst the amphitheatre of Epidavros offers a look back thousands of years. Homeric ruins and several ancient temples, churches and castles are within a short distance of Kandia. Many museums, such as the Archaeological Museums of Corinth and Olympia and the Peloponnesian Folklore Foundation Museum are also nearby. The birthplace of the Olympic Games, Olympia, is worth a visit as are the Caves of Diron. The biggest dilemma will be that you won’t be able to see all of the interesting sites that are found in and near Kandia.

                                            Well equipped lovely home, with wonderful views. Peaceful and tranquil location, but not far from Argos ( bustling, friendly town with great market ) And Nafplio (elegant seaside resort) Charming and helpful host Eleni. Didn't want to leave and would definitely go back.
