Kambia is a wonderfully peaceful little hamlet in the hills of the Chania region of Crete.                                                                                                       We recently had a 2 month stay in this apartment. Kathy and Chris could not have been more friendly or helpful what wonderful hosts. We found the apartment very clean and comfortable, especiallly the sofa and the bed and the kitchen was a bonus as we like to self cater as well as eat out. The position of the apartment afforded wonderful views of the mountains and the valley and beautiful sunrises. It was very convenient for shops, tavernas and beaches. The local taverna next to the pharmacy in Agio Pantes served excellent fresh food just 5 minute drive. Would recommend the apartment for a short or long stay holiday.

                                                                                                      Positives - Nicely secluded villa and not overlooked & the views were amazing. Various seating areas and patios to take advantage of sun/shade throughout the day. Lovely big infinity pool with great views & comfy bed to sleep at night. Not to far from Kalyves far shopping, eating and bars etc. We would definitely would recommend this villa to somebody who doesn't do crowds and wants total peace and seclusion. The only 2 negatives we encountered was firstly the long track leading to the villa needed strimming as the heavy thistles etc were the scratching the hire car every time we used the track. The other negative was that there were several days during our stay when there was an unbearable stench which we can only assume was the villa's cesspit which meant we could not use the patio outside the master bedroom and had to keep the bedroom's doors and windows closed. Another small niggle we had was the ants but this could be easily rectified by the owner leaving plastic storage boxes for food so the ants can't get in.
