Villa Cadiz near Kournas

5 of 5
Travelling to Crete were my husband my three grown up daughters and myself .The Villa Cadiz was spotless/modern and had everything that you needed for your stay. When we arrived - we found essentials in the fridge, plus tea, coffee, sugar etc…and wonderful hand soap and shampoo /conditioners in the bathrooms. All the bedrooms are a good size and very comfortable and clean, as are the living areas in the villa. We all enjoyed using the pool every day as the weather was hot and we ate outside most evening s. The villa has the advantage of being situated in the mountains so therefore there is always a breeze. We went to Kavos beach every day which is a short car ride away and we also used the 2 supermarkets in Kavos plus the butchers shop and bakers. There are also quite a few Tavernas in Kavos and also a couple in Kournas village if you fancy a meal out . Other things - Ants – we were not bothered at all by ants but we did clean surfaces and sweep up any crumbs etc… … Wasps – not bothered by wasps (unlike in Corfu) but they did occasionally come to the edge of the pool for a drink and then flew away. Cats – we love the cats in Crete …they keep away mice and bugs (especially in the countryside) we fed the little cat gladly - but it is up to you. Finally a massive THANK YOU to Jackie and Derek who look after this villa, they do a marvellous job and they enabled our holiday to be stress free and most enjoyable. Fabulous villa – Excellent location - We would definitely recommend it !
