  • Quiet but not isolated, in a large garden

A very quiet property in a most convenient location. Easy access to motorway. Helena is a very welcoming hostess and suprised us upon our evening arrival with a beautiful salad and bottle of wine and some other food necessities. Large garden with trees laden with fruit, especially oranges and olives. Excellent for self catering as all necessary kitchen items are provided. We had a splendid 8 day holiday - thanks Helena. • cozy place, good base for sightseeing and close to the beach- love it!

We stayed at the house for 12 days with 4 adults, 4 yrs old and a baby and we all loved it. Nice clean house in peaceful sourrandings, close to bakery( very nice staff there and good cheap local wine to buy), cafe and grocery shop. Supermarket 5 minutes by car. Owners father ( really nice person)welcomed us in the house with lots of advices what to do and where to go.When with kids you really appreciate your own kitchen and washing machine. Weather didn't spoiled us ( time of cyclon, lots of rain)but we still managed to do a lot of sightseeing. If you have a car the house it's a good base to see lots of stuff. We managed to go to Athens. Epidavros, ancient Mycenaes, ancient Corinth(-great cafe with apollo temple views- we thought that prices will be high but we paid very reasonable price for all meals), Acrocorinth- (our most favourite place of all), Argos and Larissa castle. ancient Olipmia ( there is nearby Klio's honey farm in the town of Oliympia- free entry and presentation in a lovely family atmosphere- well worth visiting), Loutraki lighthouse, Prodomos and Philosophou monasteries, Napflio( with our favourite tavern 'Kalamari' with good prices and great service- near port parking), Hydra island, Dydymos caves with chapels and despite bad weather we managed to spend 2 days on a local beach 50 meters away from the house. The beach can't be voted the best beach in Greece( factory in the distance view) but with kids it is nice to have a access to the sea close to the place you stay plus this beach is known for low waves which is also a bonus when swimming with kids. We even managed to do some snorkling and see some fish, sea sponges and spiky sea slugs. In Isthmia you have small but quite good fruit and veg market- you can even buy snails there:)-we didn't try it but local guy insisted there are delicious with spinach in the soup. On the way to Mycenaes there is lot of stalls - try olives preserved with orange peel- deliciuos, or eggplants or courgettes in sweet syrup. In summary - we are very satisfied and we can honestly recommend this place. Dear Evan and Evan's father- thank you for a great stay!!!!
