We stayed from mid week to mid week in August, and one of the hottest weeks of the year. Plenty of ventilation with the house remaining secure as all doors and windows have ventilated shutters. The owners, who live near by, were non-intrusive however helped with information regarding wine tasting, local facilities such as vets and shops. The house felt homely and lived in with everything needed for modern living included. A fantastic heating system together with a large wood stove nearly hidden away behind an interesting decorative surround. We obviously didn't need the stove the week we we're there. The house was decorated to a high standard with quality doors, windows and floors. Pet owners will find a small, almost hidden, gate at the bottom of the garden, leading to extensive pathways, grass areas and walks and acres of vineyards. There is an ample, open to the garden, covered area against the house and it was great to sit there into the late evenings. Laundry facilities are in the basement and are simply excellent. Keep the front door key with you, unless somebody is remaining in the house or you might lock yourself out. The kitchen was very well appointed however a knife for cutting bread (a bread knife!) would be useful, as would a microwave. Highly recommended and would book again if visiting the area.

Staying with Peter and Uschi Kreuz in the lovely wine town of Edesheim was the highlight of our holiday this year. They are wonderful welcoming hosts and the accommodation is excellent. We cycled, swam and drove to see Heidleberg, We would certainly like to return to this property. Dymphna (Dublin)
