  • Tranquil Location

Had a great week here in September, using the house as a base to explore Saxony. It is a beautiful, airy and bright house in a peaceful and secluded location, surrounded by fruit trees - a car would definitely be necessary. The kitchen, although small, is well equipped with crockery and cutlery. The only issue I had was the very steep and narrow staircase up to the bedroom - being a tall lad, I invariably bumped my head - and access up these stairs would not be recommended for those with limited mobility. All-in-all, a great stay - Peter the owner was only a phone call away (lives locally) and the immediate neighbour is also on hand should anything be required ... not that we needed anything from either. There is one restaurant within easy walking distance (Gasthof Zollwitz) but you would need a car to dine further afield.

This is just perfect, large clean, very well equipped, comfortable, good location. I want to go back as soon as possible, because I didn't get chance to try the pool. The pictures barely portray how lovely this apartment is, and so roomy. A separate (big) section of the garden is yours, the pool level is shared (but owners are at work all day). If I came with children this would be fantastic, lots of toys, games, DVDs, garden toys too, lovely woods opposite they can play in which is great to take walks and pick mushrooms. Very private and quiet place, but a town very close and lots of interesting places to visit nearby. Made to feel extremely welcome, nothing was too much trouble. Kitchen may look small, but is fully equipped with everything you could want and more. In fact the whole apartment has everything you need and more. Internet works perfectly, very comfortable sofa and separate sleep sofa (so you wouldn't need to decamp to let people sit down). This isn't just a holiday flat it is a home.
