Great location

4 of 5
I think this lovely, quaint house is situated in the nicest part of lubeck in a small courtyard just off a particularly lovely stretch of the river. It's easy to get to the centre of the city with its many restaurants and attractions. The house is very well decorated and maintained. For two people it was fine but I think too small for a third adult. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Fantastic apartment in the old town with river vie

5 of 5
Just returned from a 6 day stay in lovely Lubeck. We have used Homeaway many times and always been so pleased. The choice of places to stay in Lubeck were limited, and hotels expensive. Sybille's apartment stood out like a sore thumb amongst all the other places I checked. So, lets see...parking was easy, we found a place almost opposite everyday, and paid by ticket. There is a large free parking area just over the bridge, 2 mins walk away. The apartment is on the 2 floor, so stairs to be climbed. The apartment is spanking brand new inside, very tastefully furnished, and good room for max 3 people. The leather sofa pulls into a generous sized single bed, and has a great mattress. The double bedroom has a lovely comfortable bed, and single cupboard. We slept very well. Nice little kitchen area, not much counter space, but then in Lubeck, you only need to make breakfast, and eat out in the numerous restaurants from there. There is a walk in cupboard with washing machine (if you needed) and room for your luggage. Bathroom was super, clean and modern. A tip, turn the shower onto full/hot, and then turn to suitable temperature. My husband didn't have it on full twice, and got cold. I had no problems, but then had shower on full always. TV has usual German channels, with only CNN and BBC World. We are used to lots of English speaking channels in Scandinavia. After 4 days, internet was installed into the apartment, which was 'life saving'. All in all, an absolute wonderful apartment, no negatives at all. 1 mention, almost next door to the apartment building, is a disco/club. They are only opened Friday and Saturday night, and the music was still going long into the night. Kept me awake, not my husband or mother, so maybe take some ear plugs with you. This still did not make any big impact on our stay. When you stay in a city, you have to expect noise. Lubeck is wonderful, and I would highly recommend a trip to anyone, and if you can stay at Sybille's place better still!! Good luck Sybille, and thank you so much. Yvonne, Ulf and Jean, from Norway.
