Our welcome to Weitblick was a wonderful one. The contemporary house is stunning and spotlessly clean and the welcome from our host, Carmen was effusive and charming. The Black Forest is extremely beautiful and it has some particularly fine restaurants. The Roessle restaurant in the village of Elzach serves extremely well prepared and reasonably priced food given the quality. For shopping, nearby Frieburg is beautifully elegant and if you choose to cook at the house the kitchen is well equipped and the Edeka store nearby provides a wide range of high quality provisions. Whilst we enjoy the Black Forests fabulous driving roads we took the train to Basel in Switzerland (using our free rail pass that comes with the holiday tax). The station is a 10 minute walk from the house and the service is hourly. However you don't need to travel far to see the views of the Black Forest as the views are spectacular from the terrace (accessed from both the bedroom and sitting room). A perfect spot to read or drink the local wine. For us Elzach and Weitblick provided a fabulous holiday and the Black Forest provided great opportunities to explore, eat great food, drink wonderful wines and truly relax. Thankyou to Carmen and Daniel for your enthusiasm and expertise.

We stayed for nearly a week and have no complaints. The Moser family is very hospitable, good comfy rooms, balcony, great central location for car trips and hiking. The highlight was the Grillabend with the traditional fireplace and homemade schnapps.
