Beautiful area

5 of 5
Really enjoyed our stay in this beautiful area - I am surprised it does not attract more visitors from outside Germany. The Old Custom House is situated in a remote and lovely spot in the peace of the forest but still accessible to many places of interest. Passau and Deggendorf should not be missed and it is only a short drive into Czechoslovakia. The nearby Gasthaus does excellent food and the area is perfect for walkers. The accommodation was comfortable (although there was no microwave although the description said there was) and we appreciated the fresh bread that was delivered each morning. We hope to return!

Stayed here a week in August 2009. Spoke no german, but easily accomodated by the hosts. Fresh milk and home baking supplied gratis. Home is new and very clean, down stairs, great space and furnished well throughout.Beautiful countryside, small villages all around, great for small children. Garden, pool and all toys were available at all times. Friendly german family on site. Will return again.
