the town of Bad Pyrmont is a beautiful spa town located between Hameln (pied piper town) and Paderborn, We stayed with Barbara and her husband Peter their property has everything you need for a comfortable stay (remember German bedding is slightly different) but overall a very good holiday especially if you know a little of the language I'm assured Wi-Fi will improve but at the moment leaves a lot to be desired

This apartment is beautifully decorated and furnished to show home standard, and occupies most of the ground floor of an architecturally elegant turn of C20th Building with a beautifully maintained terraced garden (one area of the garden is reserved for the guests of this apartment). The sun terrace\/balcony gives a view over a peaceful, unspoiled valley onto forest. The owners were extremely welcoming and did everything they could to make our stay relaxing and perfect. They are rightly proud of the standard of accommodation and hospitality they offer - it really is exceptional. The town of Bad Pyrmont is a quiet spa town with a 19th Century centre with beautifully laid out parks and walks, elegant architecture and a wide variety of restaurants, cafes and watering holes. Supermarkets are conveniently nearby, and there are plenty of shops in the town centre, but mainly of interest to more mature shoppers, not teenagers! This area of Germany (Weser uplands) has plenty of walks and cycle routes. We visited Hameln, Hannover, the Externsteine, and Munster, all well worth a day or half day, but about 90 miles away is the Bergen - Belsen Memorial, which was the most memorable day of our stay, but overall, this was a perfect base for a relaxing, rewarding holiday.
