We all really enjoyed our stay in Voisines, the area was picturesque, very quite. even though we were on a main road with some occasional tractors, it really felt tranquil. the kitchen was well stocked with utensils and was great to cook in, the beds very very comfy. we very much enjoyed the figs and walnuts from the garden and the birds were such a joy to listen to. Lots of books and DVDs to go through, which was a bonus. we would very much recommend a visit. a morning coffee from the local café/restaurant was perfect. we visited a few local areas, pont sur Yonne having a nice market and a nice broncante.

The house is compact and access/egress to/from the shared courtyard is quite narrow for a car of average size. We parked a short distance away on a small car-park (featuring a brand-new charging point for electric/hybrid vehicles!!). Perrigny is a small village with the river Armancon and the Burgundy Canal close by. It provides both a convenient location from which to visit the many places of interest in the area and a good base for walking and cycling. There is a new Bi1 supermarket (rue du College), in nearby Ancy le Franc, which saves journeys to either Montbard or Tonnere for a wider range of supplies above basic. The owner of the house lives across the road and was very friendly and helpful......a factor which has added an extra star to our rating.
