  • Delightful property......every detail geared for a relaxing holiday!
    5 of 5

This property is a true gem in a typically southern French town. It has been tastefully and sympathetically restored and took our breath away on arrival. At first the stairs can be daunting if you are used to bungalow life or modern staircases, but with care and attention they can be safely negotiated. Despite my arthritic hip and being in my 70s, I was able to cope with movement between floors and would have no hesitation in returning. The fitments, cleanliness and attention to detail were greatly appreciated. And the air con……wow, superb and it’s good to know it is regularly serviced. We shopped locally and enjoyed our daily visit to the cafe. Parking was no problem as after unloading at the door, we used the central car park (which we knew from a previous stay in the town). Our thanks to Martin (and Helen) for their willingness to adapt to our needs. Yes, we aim to return, health permitting. As you can guess from our comments, we really did enjoy this house!

  • The perfect holiday location to explore this beautiful part of the world!!

This really was the perfect holiday stay! The house is a beautiful, traditional, building set in its own grounds, but also has access to the large adjoining garden with table tennis and petanque. It is comfortable and well furnished and very well equipped with everything you could need. We found it roomier than the impression given by the photos. We had six adults staying and we never felt short of space. There are ample seating areas inside and out and the bedrooms are roomy and airy. The owners, Sophie and Guy, were most welcoming and gave us recommendations for restaurants and places to visit. The property is on the edge of the main town of Serignan, but feels quiet and secluded thanks to the mature trees surrounding it. At night time it is near silent! There is ample parking for two cars and this is secure from the road by an electrically operated gate. The centre of the village of Serignan is no more than a 5 minute walk. It has a beautiful tree lined square, with a number of restaurants and bars, a Spar, boulangeries and patisseries serving delicious bread and cakes. There is a massive Carrefour supermarket within a 5 minute drive. The beach is also only 10 minutes by car. The places to visit nearby are too numerous to mention. But Bezier, Nimes, Narbonne, St Gwilhem Le Desert and Carcassonne are all nearby and should not be missed. In short, we had the most fantastic holiday at this beautiful house and fell in love with this stunning and welcoming part of France. Go. You won't regret it!
